Our delightful experience at Curtin Heritage Living RiverSea in Mosman Park didn’t all come from the gorgeous blue skies or refreshing ocean breeze that was sweeping across the pristine estate. It was the warmth in the hospitality by management & staff and beautiful smiles that the excited residents gave us when we wheeled in their new beds that made our visit the most memorable.

Together with Unicare Health, the clinical team at Curtin Heritage Living chose Wissner-Bosserhoff’s Sentida 6 king single beds to meet the demands of contemporary nursing care.

The Sentida 6 king single beds from Wissner-Bosserhoff were chosen for its unique features such as the patented SafeFree sideguard concept that encourages bed mobility and aids in falls prevention, a BiNetic patient surface with double retraction to prevent pressure injuries caused by pelvic compression as well as friction and shearing forces, central locking castors, automatic positioning, and a low surface to floor height, just to name a few.
These features also promote other advantages such as

- Reducing manual handling tasks for nursing staff
- Increasing economic efficiency due to ease of staff care requirements

Custom bed accessories such a 2-step handset and handset holder were also provided to promote ease of use for both resident and caregiver. The handsets’ clear structure and ergonomic design makes the bed user friendly, and its pre-selected function makes the handset initial fault intolerant – which makes it impossible for the residents to trigger a function by accident. The handset holders also allow for easy access for both the resident and nursing staff.
The Sentida 6 low nursing bed is the winner of the internationally renowned Red Dot Award and Plus-X Award for Best Product of the Year. The Sentida 6 also won the German design award – the international premium award of the German Design Council. To compliment the benefits of the Sentida beds, Care of Sweden’s Optimal 5zon mattresses were selected for its ability to aid in the prevention and treatment of pressure injuries up to and including category 2.
The Optimal 5zon features good pressure redistribution properties and is also equipped with Care of Sweden’s patented DuoCore sit function which provides excellent support for residents when they are seated or lying down.
Care of Sweden’s mattresses are also supplied with a four way stretch hygienic outer cover which conforms to the highest nursing standards for hygiene, quality and safety. Custom covers such as the 2-piece hygiene evac cover was also provided with all the beds to meet building evacuation standards.
