Unicare Health would like to congratulate Hall & Prior on the successful building completion of Karingal Green in High Wycombe.
Opening in May 2020, Karingal Green will offer 160 residential aged care beds, community and home care services to people living in Perth’s eastern suburbs.

Karingal Green
Karingal Green is a $90 million initiative designed to provide high-level, 24/7 world-class residential and community aged care.
Soon to open in May 2020, Karingal Green will offer state of the art residential aged care and wellbeing services, including dementia and Parkinson’s specific care.
Specialist services for disabled residents as well as Home & Community Care services will also be offered.
Karingal Green offers generously appointed modern accommodation, wellness facilities, health and lifestyle programs, rehabilitation services, research & training facilities and day respite services.
Residents will be able to enjoy a wellness centre, cinema, private dining, primary & allied health clinic, café, gymnasium and hydro-pool.
An onsite staff development and training facility will ensure that the highest quality of care services is delivered to residents and the local community.

Project Highlights
Equipment Selection
The Karingal Green residential aged care project involved careful clinical as well as occupational health and safety considerations during the equipment selection process.
To define an equipment range based on clinical justifications, ease of use, resident and caregiver safety as well as infection control measures, comprehensive equipment trials and assessments were conducted by Hall & Prior’s Clinical & OSH leaders, with guidance from Unicare Health’s Product Specialists and Clinical Educator.
To provide next generation aged care that focusses on a person-centred approach, an array of equipment was selected to support the individual needs of residents at Karingal Green.
Some equipment that was selected included:
- Manual Handling aids such as standing and lifting hoists, slings and slide sheets
- Mobility equipment such as walking frames, seat walkers, wheelchairs and forearm walkers
- Pressure Care products that included an array of different pressure care seat cushions to suit individual needs including ROHO
- Shower and Toileting aids such as shower chairs, over toilet frames, raised toilet seats, shower trolleys and JUVOcare shower commodes
- Safety equipment such as fall mats and the Mangar Elk
- and other functional equipment such as instrument trolleys, linen skips, weighing equipment etc.

To provide Karingal Green with a streamlined equipment delivery solution and to minimize installation work on site, all flat packed equipment was supplied unboxed, fully assembled and supplied in stages to suit the building and fitout progress.
