Marine Views Cottesloe offers stylish residential aged care in an iconic ocean side location.
Overlooking the beach on the historic Wearne site, Marine Views provides the perfect location for those looking for a caring home environment in a contemporary setting.
The interior design scheme at Marine Views combines modernism with a contemporary sensibility of understated elegance. A largely natural colour scheme is accentuated by limestone and earthy accents of brown and pink.
The lobby doesn’t just anticipate guests, family and resident needs, but also sets the tone for a stunning impression that extends throughout the building.
Generous sized individual rooms with garden or ocean outlooks are just the beginning for residents. Floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors invite the magic of nature and life inside.
Ample room and appealing spaces are dotted across the building for residents to pursue unique interests, indulge in hobbies and take part in a wide range of activities.

Resident Rooms
The colour palette in resident rooms is gentle and fresh featuring creams, greys, tans and soft pastels, with floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies pulling the outside in. Every resident suite is spacious and furnished with the award winning Sentida 6 aged care bed by Wissner Bosserhoff.

The Optimal 5zon® pressure care mattresses from Care of Sweden was chosen to complement the Sentida beds. Clinically proven to provide effective pressure care and resident comfort, these mattresses are equipped with a unique DuoCore sit-function designed to give support when sitting in bed and provide good comfort when lying.
Anti-shear inner covers enhance user comfort and skin integrity protection. The cover is autoclavable to temperatures up to 95°C and comes with a very well documented hygienic standard. Being a sustainable product, the Optimal 5zon® is produced from modern, recyclable materials and meets health care requirements for hygiene, quality and safety. The covers have side handles to meet multi-story evacuation requirements, eliminating the need for evacuation sheets.
Redefining Overhead Lifting Solutions with the Portable Luna Ceiling Hoist and Hidden Ceiling Tracks
To provide unparalleled flexibility in resident transfers, ceiling hoist tracks were hidden in the ceiling and installed flushed with the ceiling surface. This profile transforms the way overhead tracking is traditionally installed. This provides an elegant alternative to obtrusive wall and ceiling brackets, a perfect complement to the sophisticated aesthetics of the rooms.
The portable Luna ceiling hoist was chosen for its ability to be moved from one room to another whenever a patient lifting solution is required. This reduces the need to have a lifter in every single room. The Luna ceiling hoist can be quickly attached to the tracks by simply attaching and detaching the lifter via an inbuilt quick release mechanism.
The Luna ceiling hoist is charged by simply inserting the hand control into the wall charger.
Bath and Toileting Solutions for Aged Care
Shower Chairs and JUVOcare shower commodes were selected to assist with resident’s showering and toileting needs.
Manufactured using 304 grade stainless steel, these durable commodes are designed to withstand extensive wet area use. They are highly adaptable commodes designed to be easily custom configured to suit the needs of individual users.
Redefining Laundry and Cleaning with Custom Design Carts
In addition to practicality, aesthetics also plays an important part. Working together with Curtin Heritage, laundry and cleaning trolleys were custom designed and manufactured to suit functional and aesthetic customer’s needs.
Project Delivery
The Marine Views project required months of planning and meticulous coordination to ensure that equipment and parts from national and global suppliers arrived on time .
Unicare Health was involved in the design phase from the beginning, working in collaboration with the Marine Views project team to match clinical requirements to interior design aesthetics.
To provide a streamlined equipment delivery solution and to minimise any on-site installation work, all furniture, fixtures, and equipment were manufactured, unboxed, assembled, tested, tagged, and stored in our Bentley warehouse before being transported to Marine Views in stages to accommodate the construction progress.
Ongoing Equipment Support and Maintenance with Unitrax
Ongoing equipment support and maintenance is managed by Unitrax – Unicare’s very own cloud-based asset management system.
Care staff can report any equipment issues by scanning a unique QR code, which informs Unicare’s support department about what equipment requires attention, which room the equipment is in, its service history, and other information. This reduces time and effort required by care staff to look for a serial or model number or describe the problem over the phone. Care staff can upload photos and videos, view user manuals and even troubleshoot problems with technicians over the phone.
Unitrax has also proven to be an invaluable tool for aged care providers to monitor equipment value, track service histories, keep tabs on maintenance costs, as well as prepare budget and audit reports.
