Connecting with the Community at the Bankstown Disability Expo

Bankstown Community Disability Expo
Wednesday, 18 March 2026
Canterbury League Club, NSW
We were proud to be part of the Bankstown Community Disability Expo in NSW, a vibrant and meaningful event that brought together individuals living with disabilities, their families, carers, support workers, and providers from across the community.

Organised by the team at Disability Events Community (DEC), the expo was a welcoming and inclusive space centred on connection, support, and empowerment. Their dedication to creating opportunities like this continues to make a meaningful impact across the community.

A Day of Connection and Support
Held at Canterbury League Club in Belmore, the expo showcased a wide range of disability services and resources, from allied health and therapy providers to housing solutions and everyday support services. It was a fantastic opportunity for attendees to explore what’s available to support their journey and for providers to network and collaborate.

With a variety of information stalls, helpful advice from industry experts, and plenty of opportunities to connect, the day had a warm and engaging atmosphere that encouraged meaningful conversations.

Showcasing Unicare’s “Showroom at Home™” Service
At our Unicare stand, we were excited to introduce visitors to our Showroom at Home™ service, a personalised way for customers to explore and trial our products in the comfort of their own space.

We brought along a selection of our products, giving attendees the opportunity to see, feel, and try them firsthand. This hands-on experience sparked great conversations about how the right equipment and support can make a real difference in everyday life.

Our team enjoyed connecting with so many individuals, carers, and support workers, answering questions and demonstrating how our solutions can be tailored to meet unique needs.

Building Stronger Community Connections
Events like the Bankstown Disability Expo highlight the importance of community by bringing people together, sharing knowledge, and creating pathways to better support.

For us, it was not only an opportunity to showcase what we offer but also to listen, learn, and strengthen relationships within the disability sector.

Looking Ahead
We’re grateful to the Disability Events Community for hosting such a well-organised and impactful event, and we look forward to continuing to support individuals and families through services like our Showroom at Home.
