Unicare Showcases Latest Assistive Technology at OTX2024
Occupational Therapy Exchange 2024
Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre
13-14 June 2024
OTX2024 is Australia’s premier professional development conference for occupational therapists. Held in Perth this year, the program featured presentations on knowledge translation, pediatrics, older adults, disability, and emerging practices.
As a premium sponsor and exhibitor, we were thrilled to showcase our latest innovations in assistive technology to over 550 occupational therapists from across Australia.
We were glad to be exhibiting alongside many other leading equipment suppliers in the assistive technology space.
The conference floor was bustling with energy as OTs explored the various stands, testing out products, and networking with colleagues and vendors. Our team enjoyed engaging in thoughtful conversations about the challenges OTs face and how our technologies can help address those needs.
Xcel3 Electric Profiling Bed Series
One of the highlights of our exhibit was the launch of the Xcel3 electric profiling bed series. Designed in collaboration with occupational therapy experts, the Xcel3 offers a personalized and user-friendly sleep experience.
Available in a variety of sizes, including single, king single, wide, and companion models, the Xcel3 can accommodate a wide range of users with its robust 200kg safe working load.
Our sleep support surface focused educator, Ilissa Llew, enthusiastically demonstrated the bed’s innovative features to many therapists who prescribe these beds for their clients. The Xcel3’s intuitive controls and customizable settings allow users to find their ideal sleeping position, promoting better sleep quality and overall well-being.
The introduction of the Xcel3 electric profiling bed series at our exhibit generated significant interest among therapists and aged care groups. Its combination of expert design, versatility, and user-friendly features make it a standout choice for those seeking a comfortable and supportive sleep solution.
Aura Ultralight Weight Wheelchair Range
We were excited to introduce our latest innovation – the Aura ultralightweight wheelchair range. Weighing in at just 6.5kg, these feature-packed wheelchairs are available in two trendy colourways – rose gold and meteor grey.
Our clinical educator and trainer, Annette Dumble, showcased the Aura range to occupational therapists, highlighting its numerous clinical benefits. With a focus on user comfort, stability, and maneuverability, the Aura wheelchairs are designed to offer unparalleled versatility.
Juvo Solutions Shower Commodes
At our booth, we showcased shower commodes from Juvo Solutions. We were surprised to discover strong interest in these commodes coming from therapists ordering nationally through the geat2GO portal.
Our in-house shower commode expert, Crystal Chan, was on hand to provide detailed guidance on selecting the most suitable models for diverse client requirements.
With her extensive knowledge and experience, Crystal helped attendees understand the unique features and benefits of each commode, enabling them to make informed decisions tailored to their patients’ specific needs.
Luna Ceiling Hoist
The Luna ceiling hoist was a standout lifter in our exhibit, offering versatility and suitability for a diverse array of users and settings. Designed with both the caregiver and care recipient in mind, the Luna ceiling hoist provides a safe, comfortable, and dignified means of transferring individuals with mobility challenges.

We also spread the word about our newest service, Showroom-at-home, which brings the convenience of trying out our most popular products for home care right to your doorstep, absolutely free.
