Annette uses passion and expertise to enhance your skills with clinical training
With over 35 years of experience as an occupational therapist, Annette is a renowned clinical trainer with a deep understanding of assistive technology. In her journey, she has gained an in-depth understanding of how features and functions improve safety, functional skills, and quality of life. Now, her goal is to empower the next generation of OTs so that they can prescribe the right equipment with confidence.
Pressure injury prevention & management
Annette is extremely passionate about pressure injury care and prevention, as evidenced by her extensive understanding of pressure care cushion and mattress technologies, and positioning devices. Every year, she travels the world to attend pressure care conferences and events to stay current on the latest research and best clinical practices. She shares up-to-date knowledge with Unicare's community of allied health partners through Unicare's #stopthepressure professional development events. She raises industry awareness for pressure injury care through Unicare's acclaimed #stopthepressure event, which is held every year on Worldwide Pressure Injury Prevention Day.
Assistive technology for independent living and safety
In addition to being Unicare's lead clinical trainer, Annette also facilitates Unicare's award-winning #safeseniors and #mobilitychitchat programs, encouraging older people to use assistive technology to stay safe and independent in their everyday lives.

Beyond the screen
Annette loves nothing more than being out on the clear blue water, spending time in her boat, or leisurely stand-up paddleboarding. As a nature lover at heart, you can often find Annette enjoying a serene bushwalk among the wildflowers or patiently practising her woodcutting skills.
