Innovation and guidelines to improve patient outcomes:
a journey to travel together in the light of new challenges!

Earlier this month, our clinical educator and trainer, Annette Terranova, took great pleasure in attending the EPUAP 2022 Conference – the 22nd Annual Meeting of the European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (EPUAP).

The EPUAP 2022 Conference was held at the Clarion Congress Hotel in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic located in the very heart of Europe.
About EPUAP

The European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (EPUAP) provides a platform for clinicians, researchers, educators, policy makers, industry, and the public to collaboratively work on improved health outcomes for those at risk or suffering from pressure injuries.
EPUAP provides EU wide education and campaigns with accessible resources for clinicians and the public, supporting international and interdisciplinary research activities and partnerships.
The team at EPUAP play an important role in the development of the Clinical Practice Guidelines for pressure ulcer prevention and treatment, that provides evidence-based recommendations to improve patient care around the world.
EPUAP 2022 Conference

The EPUAP 2022 conference brought together researchers, clinicians, health professionals and industry experts from around the world.

Annette enjoyed her time listening to research presentations from all over the world (including those from Australia!), learning about new cutting-edge technologies, and spent 3 full days collecting information about the latest developments and innovations in the field of pressure injury prevention, treatment, and care.

Besides catching up with her pressure care expert friends, and getting to know new ones, Annette also met with the Care of Sweden team at EPUAP 2022, who presented new pressure care mattress technologies and upcoming innovations.

Look at these pretty sights that Annette shared from her travels in Prague!
