This year marked the 20th International Conference for Emergency Nurses. This jam-packed event explored the future of emergency care, featuring new technologies and innovations in nursing and allied health. The Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre was the venue for this milestone expo, which drew in a crowd of over 250 experts in nursing and allied health. Unicare is proud to have been a Gold partner, sponsor, and exhibitor at ICEN 2023, which was a fantastic venue to present our latest equipment, technologies, and innovations.
Innovations on Display
Our booth proudly showcased the latest innovations in our range of emergency equipment.
The Contour Energy Transport Chair impressed attendees with its effortless 4-way power drive, which reduces the risk of strain during critical patient transport.
This unique transport chair has intuitive drive controls, large footplates for generous support, central locking, and a safe working load of 300kg. It features an intelligent drive system designed for easy use, removing the need for human effort in pushing and manoeuvring. These are only a fraction of the innovative features offered by the Contour Energy Transport Chair.
The versatile Contour Recline Procedure Chair also drew a crowd with its space-saving abilities. Attendees loved the versatility of this chair, which helps to simplify medical examinations, procedures, and recovery processes.
The Contour Recline Procedure Chair is suitable for various medical procedures, treatments, and patient transfers. It is particularly beneficial for fast-track ED, ED, day surgery, clinics, and aged care facilities. This chair serves as a patient trolley, procedure chair, and recovery recliner, enabling patients to remain comfortably seated from pre-op to recovery. Its adaptability facilitates efficient patient flow and eliminates staff manual handling, providing a safer and more comfortable experience for everyone involved.

Contour Classic
The Contour Classic Patient Trolley was also a hit, being our most flexible custom-design platform for a patient stretcher. The twin-column design offers various height ranges: low for patient care or high for better surgeon access with less strain during procedures. Its operations are fully electronically activated, with a handset-operated backrest, knee break, height adjustment, and head/foot down Trendelenburg functionality.
The Contour Classic Patient Trolley is highly customisable, with various easily identifiable colour options for dropsides and end rails. Health professionals can equip it with a wide range of accessories flexible to patients’ needs. Mattresses, accessory mounting options, and more are available for customisation.
On top of this, the Contour Classic offers effortless steering control. Its Ezi-Trak 5th wheel steering system engages quickly regardless of castor direction, allowing you to control it comfortably.
The Contour MultiX Patient Trolley also turned heads with its unique Infine X-ray track system. This track allows for unobstructed X-ray clearance, making it ideal for general-purpose, emergency, trauma, imaging & day surgery patient trolleys.

The colourful Emergency Cart and Anesthesia Cart garnered attention with their adjustable drawer dividers, soft close drawer runners, and easily identifiable colours. Equipped with accessories like the Tilt Bin Organisers and defibrilator shelf, these carts provide efficient emergency organisation.
