This year’s ATSA Commitment to Excellence Award was presented to our very own Pearl Chan, Head of Marketing at Unicare. Pearl was recognised for her leadership, innovation, and incredible dedication to the assistive technology sector.
This award is judged by an independent panel of industry experts and ATSA directors. There is no public voting involved. This ensures the award is based purely on professional merit, leadership, impact, and dedication to assistive technology.
Pearl’s passion for storytelling and visual strategies has positively shaped how assistive technology is used and perceived. Winners for the ATSA Awards are selected through a combination of public voting and expert panel assessment, depending on the award category. For categories such as Best New Product, Dealer of the Year, Supplier/Manufacturer of the Year, and Industry Person of the Year, the selection process is split evenly: 50% public vote and 50% evaluation by a three-person judging panel made up of industry experts and independent ATSA directors.
Other categories, like Commitment to Excellence and Innovation of the Year, are judged solely by an independent panel, with no public voting involved. The Acknowledgement of Industry Service award is awarded at the discretion of the ATSA Board based on merit and significant achievement, and may not be awarded every year.
