We are absolutely delighted to have supported Southern Cross Care (WA) Inc. at their series of Retirement Living Lifestyle Expos.
We enjoyed a bustling week with village residents and staff, presenting a range of assistive technology to all who were interested in learning more about products to support their safe and independent living at home and in the community.
These free expos, aimed at educating seniors about living independently in their own homes for as long as possible, provided an excellent opportunity for staff and residents to connect with Southern Cross Care’s valued industry partners.
Village residents were given the opportunity to learn about fall prevention campaigns, early cancer detection programs, easy-home cooked meal delivery services, caregiver support programs and more.

We enjoyed a rewarding time presenting a range of assistive technology and talking to residents about safe and independent living.
Our #safeseniors booth featured bathroom safety products, useful kitchen gadgets, and a variety of everyday living aids designed to assist seniors in performing daily living tasks safely and independently.
Innovative kitchen gadgets, such as the Uccello Kettle, were popular among those challenged with arthritis and limited hand movement. The tilting feature of the Uccello Kettle allows users to pour hot water safely and steadily every time without lifting.
The One-Touch Bottle Opener, One-Touch Jar Opener, and One-Touch Can Opener wowed the audience with its ability to open stubborn jar lids and bottle tops at the simple push of a button.
The Handy Bar and the AutoSlide Transfer Seat appealed to seniors looking for an easier transition and stable support to get in and out of a car.
We were pleased to see so many residents approach our booth, many of whom were using Unicare mobility products like the Ansa Nitro. We were also delighted to hear residents speak passionately about Unicare products they had previously purchased, such as easy tap turners, key safes, sheet magnifiers and handy reachers, and how these items had become one of the most important tools in their daily lives.
