Unicare installs ceiling hoists and accessible changeroom equipment at Rocky Bay's new Joondalup Hub

Our friends at Rocky Bay have opened a new hub in Joondalup.
This hub provides community services, therapy services such as physiotherapy, speech pathology, and occupational therapy, as well as a sensory room and customer engagement and support coordination.
There are seven therapy consultations rooms, a training kitchen and studio area, four meeting rooms, and offices for Rocky Bay’s Customer Engagement team in the North.

To assist with transfers during therapy, the Luna ceiling hoist is combined with Ergolet’s Mobile Flex 4-post gantry system.
Mobile Flex is a free-standing, flexible system that is simple to set up and use right away. It is installed and removed without any wall mounts or modifications to the room. Mobile Flex meets all lifting and transferring demands thanks to its numerous adjustment options. It serves as a simple and functional lifting system when combined with the Luna ceiling lift.
We were also delighted to see our UniCouch electric treatment tables being used in the therapy rooms.
In the accessible change room, the Luna ceiling hoist is combined with a powder-coated aluminium ceiling track system, designed for a low visual profile, optimal span distances and ease of installation.
The Luna ceiling lift is suitable for wet environments, facilitating safe transfers in bathrooms without the risk of failure if the unit is showered with water.
The Pressalit electric height-adjustable shower and change table offers a stylish, comfortable, and stable surface. It also has a head support so users don’t have to lie flat.
It has a user-friendly handset, safety rails, and folds away when not in use to maximise floor space.
