Unicare raises $1820 on Jeans for Genes Day 2020 to help children fight genetic diseases
Jeans for Genes
Fundraising Morning Tea
Thursday 6 August 2020
Kids just want to be kids, but instead of playing sports with their friends or catching butterflies on a sunny day, some kids are getting liver transplants, taking dozens of medications, or getting their next dose of chemotherapy.
Every year, Unicare Health supports Jeans for Genes – a national fundraising event that supports Children’s Medical Research Institute find cures for children’s genetic diseases.
Fundraising through Jeans for Genes enables scientists at the Children’s Medical Research Institute to continue their vital research to find treatments and cures, so that kids can go back to just being kids.
The Jeans for Genes fundraising morning tea has become a tradition at Unicare Health and a much-anticipated annual event. It is the only day of the year we swap our Unicare Pink for denim and enjoy a scrumptious morning tea dressed in blue.
The whole office participates – not just in eating, but also donating generously to the cause and sharing recipes to create an amazing table of treats.
Morning tea fundraisers at Unicare Health are always an amazing display of teamwork and a tremendous effort put together to reach our fundraising goals.
Unicare Health is glad to have been able to share the care and support the Children’s Medical Research Institute through Jeans for Genes.
We are very proud to have raised $1820 this year and trust that our donations will enable more children to go back to just being kids.
