Indigo Solutions selects Unicare as preferred equipment partner for the Australian geat2GO
An Australian government initiative, geat2GO is a funding source for people eligible for the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP). It allows older people across Australia to access helpful services, devices and equipment to continue living independently and make daily tasks easier.
Indigo is the national Goods Equipment and Assistive Technology (GEAT) provider, offering more choice and opportunity to deliver assistive technology (devices and equipment) items to older people across Australia. This helps to close GEAT service gaps, reduces wait time (where an Occupational Therapist assessment is not required) and gives health professionals more options for sourcing items.
Unicare Health is currently contracted by Indigo to fulfil orders put through the geat2GO website for basic assistive technology and equipment such as
- Dressing aids
- Reachers
- Shower chairs
- Shower commodes
- Pressure care cushions
- Over-toilet frames
- Walking frames
- Adapted utensils
- Fall management aids
- Lift and Recline Chairs
- Pressure care mattresses
- Power chairs and scooters
- Folding Ramps
- Slings and transfer aids
- and more
To access the geat2GO program, occupational therapists and assessors can request equipment for eligible clients by registering at the geat2GO portal.
