Do you sell suction grab rails?
No, we do not sell suction grab rails. Suction grab rails may lose suction over time without warning due to moisture, surface imperfections, temperature changes, or incorrect installation. They are typically intended as a temporary aid or balance support only and should not be relied upon to support full body weight unless specifically tested and certified by the manufacturer for that purpose. For maximum safety, particularly for individuals with mobility limitations or a higher risk of falls, a professionally installed stainless steel grab rail provides the highest level of safety and reliability.
Can Unicare install grab rails I have purchased from elsewhere?
Yes. Unicare Health can install grab rails purchased from another supplier, provided they are brand new and have not been previously installed or used.

What is the difference between a 25mm and 32mm grab rail?
The primary difference between 25mm and 32mm grab rails is the diameter of the rail, which influences grip strength, hand positioning, and overall user comfort.
25mm grab rails

For clients located in the Sydney and Perth metropolitan areas, Unicare can typically complete grab rail installations within 3 business days of funding approval.
For clients in other Australian states and territories, as well as regional and remote locations, installation timeframes will vary depending on your location and scheduling availability.
We always aim to complete installations as quickly as possible to support safe and timely hospital discharge, return home, or community living arrangements.
How long does a grab rail installation in a bathroom take?
Most standard bathroom grab rail installations can be completed within approximately 30 to 60 minutes. The exact time may vary depending on wall type, rail positioning, and the number of rails being installed. More complex installations or additional fixtures may require additional time.
