Product Overview

The Optimal 5zon® Foam Pressure Care Mattress by Care of Sweden is a high-quality replacement mattress designed to provide effective pressure distribution, comfort and support for individuals who spend extended periods in bed. Suitable for hospitals, aged care, rehabilitation and home care environments, this pressure care mattress combines high-density foam with a zoned construction to distribute pressure across the body while providing stable support. The mattress is suitable as an aid in the prevention and treatment of pressure injuries up to and including Category III.

Designed with a castellated overlay, the Optimal 5zon® adapts support across different areas of the body to promote even pressure distribution, including smaller zones around lighter areas such as the heels. Its two-part, lined foam core allows the layers to move relative to one another during repositioning, helping to reduce the impact of shear forces between the user and the support surface. This construction makes the Optimal 5zon® a practical pressure relief mattress for users requiring ongoing pressure management and comfort in bed.

The patented DuoCore® support function provides additional support beneath the pelvis and hamstrings to promote a stable, upright sitting position and support everyday activities while in bed. A removable, liquid-resistant and vapour-permeable hygiene cover supports infection-control routines while helping manage moisture and reduce shear. With a recommended user weight of up to 180 kg, the Optimal 5zon® provides healthcare facilities and home care environments with a durable pressure relieving mattress designed for long-term comfort, pressure redistribution and everyday care.
